Does someone know a (#foss) program for Focus-Stacking? I made some #macrophotography of an insect with different regions in focus and now want to combine them into one sharp image.
I tried aligning the photos with hugin and then using enfuse to merge them, but I got a lot of "ghosting".

(2/2 cont) #Diatoms are fairly large. Their size and deep pores are too large to be fully in focus - some parts are always blurred.
That's my first attempt of photo stacking - combining clear parts from a dozen of photos at different focus depth. The funny camera rig I've built earlier from the latest camera module for a raspberry-pi and a couple of adaptors.

Daisy High-key. With the first crocuses, the daisies show their nose between two frosts. Too angry to find an anti-macron headline.

I happen to have preternatural skills in searching, so have got an DoF101 video.
Too much work ! Both in taking and editing stages.
We normally take something on a moment and don't have time to do three shots like that! If you're serious you try to frame in camera. But often it's a reaction shot. The beam of light here was gone by the time I checked what I'd got and looked up again!
