Pixelfed Labs is scheduled to be deprecated tomorrow.
MomentUI is one of the biggest experiments of our Labs endeavour, providing an alternative post + profile layout.
We will be rolling out an improved MomentUI layout in the coming days, it will live on!
Pixelfed Labs will be sunset on June 14, 2021.
We learned a lot from Labs experiments and will focus our efforts on mobile apps, improving federation and core feature development.
We are working on documenting Pixelfed ActivityPub Extensions as part of the v0.11 release.
We look forward to working with other projects to steward new features without sacrificing privacy, safety and security.
Instagram has business accounts with additional features.
We are considering a different approach, Page Accounts.
Pages will support Multiple Users and ship with a Dashboard, Post Scheduling, Page Stats, Relationship Manager and more!
This will be rolling out to instances soon as an opt-in @PixelfedLabs@tooting.ai experiment.

The Profile Suggestions experiment is really a technical one.
As we reach the limits of our current architecture on larger instances, we are working to refactor the mission critical parts of pixelfed to make it more performant and robust in anticipation of the release of full federation, mobile apps and real time updates.
