This is a colour landscape photo in landscape format of an aircraft graveyard in the desert at sunrise. Mojave, California (2016).

Stretching away from the camera is a wide expanse of desert scrub, sparse yellow grass and bushes, deep in shadow close to the camera and becoming more visible with increasing distance. A little way ahead is a tall fence running across the image from left to right, again in shadow. A third of the way up in the photo is a mass of jet airliners covering the entire width of the image. All in longterm storage and probably destined to be recycled into beer cans or some other high tech aluminum product. Most of the aircraft are Boeing 747 jets, ten or twelve in view, all with their airline's liveries and logos still painted on the planes. Atlas Air and Southern Air being in the majority. All the planes are facing noses to the right and parked in neat rows and lines. Beyond this aircraft graveyard and in the distance is a hazy and orange view of the San Gabriel Mountains lit by the still low rising sun.
