"$619 Billion Ponzi Scheme" is a reference to a well-known AI funding loop issue. The attached related illustration is from Bloomberg, so Bloomberg can be considered to be a source for the underlying allegations.
The new part is rumors that seem to be spreading. One version of the rumors is that "Wall Street AIs" flagged an NVidia funding loop, or "circular financing", in the last few days and warned that a collapse of NVidia might be imminent.
The "circular financing" part is true. However, I see no evidence yet that the "Wall Street AIs" part or anything else unusual has just happened. The rumors seem to have started because of fluctuations in NVidia's stock price.
Bloggers are commenting as quoted below on the "circular financing" issue. Some of the posts out there talk as though something new has happened, but so far there is no evidence of that. The phrase "Ponzi Scheme" is used on multiple sites and I feel that the phrase is reasonable in context.
"While the accounting anomalies are worrying, the very structure of the current AI economy looks increasingly like a sophisticated Ponzi scheme, or at the very least, a vast system of “Round-Tripping” (circular revenue)."
