We've previously spoken about the longest arched walkway being in Bologna. This is one of the arches on that stretch and if you see those trees lining the street, (Via Guidotti), they are the Horse Chestnuts from the other day too! You can go through it, so, I count it as a kind of #doorsday ? 😂

A very tall yellow, orange and brown arched/arched walkway. There are two people under the arch. One with brown hair walking towards the left, holding a blue bag and a dog and the other with grey hair walking towards the right. Through the portico you can see a street lined with big leafy green horse chestnut trees.

While waiting to go to the dentist I saw this bus stopped with nobody in it and I liked the way the rain was beaded on the windscreen. Stroke of luck was this person in a cool red jacket and umbrella. Second stroke of luck, my dentist let me leave with all my teeth. Pretty good day if you ask me! ✨

EN: The Hof, a small triangular square in the heart of Aachen, is known for its cafés and pubs. It is also home to the Roman portico, the remains of a columned hall from Aachen's Roman past. If you're lucky, you might catch this view through one of the arches. In the background, Aachen Cathedral rises above the rooftops between the columns.

DE: Der Hof, ein kleiner dreieckiger Platz im Herzen Aachens, ist bekannt für seine Cafés und Kneipen. Hier steht auch der römische Portikus, der Rest einer Säulenhalle aus der römischen Vergangenheit Aachens. Mit etwas Glück bietet sich hier die Gelegenheit diesen Blick durch einen der Bögen zu erhaschen. Im Hintergrund erhebt sich zwischen den Säulen der Aachener Dom über die Dächer.

Libreria Nanni

This building used to be a hospital but has been a bookshop since 1825. It's one of the oldest bookshops in Bologna. In 1928 Arnaldo Nanni installed the now iconic Parisian style stalls - which you can kind of see on the right hand side of the picture. If there is a rare or out of print book you need - this is where you want to go. They have everything from travel to science fiction to cooking to summoning a demon. (Not 100% sure on the last one, but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they had it 😂)

It turns out that the #Portico agreement for #DigitalPreservation was inconsistent with simply having authors put a creative commons license on their article. They wanted us to make assertions about copyright instead. I guess they are designed for commercial publishers instead of #openaccess_publishing

Son conocidas las columnas torsadas de Silos, Estela o la de Caracena porque aún cumplen su función de sujetar el claustro o el pórtico. Ésta, la encontramos en la iglesia de Gumiel de Izán (Burgos), es del siglo XII y se cree que procede del desaparecido monasterio de San Pedro.
