As part of a post-fire research program, a new camera site has been established at the Sedgwick Reserve in the Santa Ynez Valley (California). Camera images will help document scrub recovery following a 2024 fire that burned approximately 3000 acres of the reserve. Dominant species in the landscape include Salvia leucophylla; Hesperoyucca whipplei; Avena fatue; and Brassica nigra. In this image, the vegetation is generally tan, yellow, brown, and gold. The slopes behind have a few trees and the sky is blue.
