- Also "fraud protection" only applies as "legitimate reason" if fraud can cause them imminent and direct damages (i.e. people carding a store / committing wire fraud / ...) but that's delegated to payment processors and they've to do their anti-fraud.
Plus only on #Postpaid subsvriptions and the like this would be applicable.
- #KYC doesn't apply to almost all services & juristictions anyway, so it's not as if said service can be defrauded easily.
#NotLegalAdvice but if a "#YouthProtection" system can comply with German "Youth Pritection Law" without having to ID a person directly then shure as hell sites and services that don't sell/serve pr0n can do the same...
