Why are potato chips so much more delicious in winter? I'm wondering if it's because they might get frozen in transit. I'm not sure why, but it seems to me that when I've forgotten chips overnight in my car at cold temperatures, they're amazingly delicious and crunchy when I eat them later - even though they're thawed to room temperature. Maybe the cold causes some chemical change?

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but the chip did seem to change slightly. It doesn't seem as tasty as it once did. I was wondering if they switched to a different potato supplier or their process changed to make it cheaper. This happened post 2020. Reminds me of Hostess products. Hostess USED to taste better. Same with Svenhard's danishes. Also Mother's cookies-- who somewhat disappeared.
