Particles (2/60): When particles drift, they find new orientations. This three-colour screen print explores their orbital dance, with each layer shifting its axis ever so slightly. Yellow, red and blue: each layer reveals its own orbital inclination, creating a suspended moment where scattered points assemble into fleeting formations.

Maybe I'm missing something, but is there a way to buy your "print" news a la carte?

I haven't seen one, but maybe I'm missing something.

And no, I don't mean the situation where journalists quit working for news orgs and start newsletters. All that's doing is multiplying the number of subscriptions I already can't afford.

I'm willing to pay to read good news articles, but subscriptions seem to be subsidizing stuff I don't like (e.g. WaPo, NYT).

1989 Nostalgic Reading Scene with Stereo Equipment Display.
The image is a monochrome photograph depicting two individuals engaged in reading newspapers, likely from the late 20th century given their attire and hairstyle. The setting suggests a relaxed domestic environment, perhaps an apartment living room where one can imagine conversations over coffee or tea as they peruse news articles.

There are no discernible words that provide context to specific newspaper headlines due to image resolution constraints; however, the visible content includes comic strips and general news headings which is typical of traditional print media from this era.
The focus on newspapers indicates a leisurely pastime rather than current events consumption.

Ryan Grim has posted messages from the publisher of the LA Times. I still don’t know what to think, but it’s easy to see that print media is in for it. #LATimes #printmedia #electionendorsement #editorial #editorialboard

I thought this explains well why you shouldn't fall for the "what about the journalists who will lose their jobs" bullshit. People in comments recommend media outlets worth your subscription dollars.

Well, this is a sad one. We made the final issue of one of my #magazines recently - PLAY. I moved onto Official PlayStation eight years ago; during that time we morphed into PLAY. But times are hard for magazines, and now PLAY is no more. What a great cover to end on!

(In case you're wondering, I'm still on Edge, and am also now in the subs pool for a batch of homes magazines. Bit of variety there!) #PrintMedia #GamesMagazines

The final issue of PLAY magazine, lying on a wooden floor. The cover is black and white, with the face of Metal Gear Solid character Solid Snake staring grimly out, and a logo saying PLAY at the top.

The papers you should support are independently-owned papers and/or your local rag. Though, if you're like me (and the rest of the US), you live in a state where all the large papers are controlled by the same media conglomerate. 🥥

Goodbye London's Evening Standard or h'evenin Stannit if you remember your Morecambe & Wise.
Down to a weekly paper apparently (Standard on Saturday?).
Meanwhile The Metro spews out everywhere else across the disunion.
