New beginnings
Freelancing has been a journey of finding my footing so far. I took a step back for most of this year to figure out my direction. During this time, 1 experimented with new techniques and different types of design work, such as food packaging, which I found to be a lot of fun. I still do some projects time to time.
However, I've found myself returning to storytelling.
I've decided to take the plunge into making comics.
Although l've never made comics before! I feel this is the right time to start. I created a children's book and some smaller flip books back in my time at university, and I enjoyed those projects. Now, years later, I'm drawn back to creating storybooks and comics. This has become the premise for my new beginning.
It seemed fitting to start with a comic about new beginnings and the feelings they can evoke. This mirrors how I feel about starting a new account, new work, and a slightly new art style.
