It seems that in spite of our high view of #scripture many #protestants simply ignore this verse. “I can just go to Jesus and be forgiven” is the common retort. And yet Scripture tells us to confess to one another and pray for the other’s healing from sin.
The #Anglican, #Catholic, and #Orthodox traditions are being more wholly faithful to Scripture when they encourage the faithful to go to #confession .

We recently finished the series #DerryGirls, and my hubby found a podcast from Telegraph which tells the awful truth of why #IrishCatholics were so pissed off at #Protestants in #NorthernIreland. Housing and employment #discrimination, harrassment, lack of #VotingRights, etc. Did you know that only if you owned property you could vote, and business owners could vote twice! And guess who owned most of the property and businesses! No wonder there was rebellion!

@Beggarmidas @gwynnion Speaking specifically to the issue of white #protestants, #evangelicals and #pentacostals the way to defeat them is not through confrontation, violence, nor peaceful protest it's the opposite, absence. #Religion is a predatory enterprise simply not participating will force it to devour those who do. If someone feels the need to express their faith or study biblical teachings with others they can start their own church it is free and easy.
