Am I the only one that's annoyed by the fact that Proton Pass's autofill browser extension is absolutely fucking useless and infuriates me so much that I wish I was still using Bitwarden.
Is #ProtonPass from @protonprivacy worth it? I get inconsistent different offers to upgrade my account from free to paid if I am on their website, or in the app. It feels like a scam to be honest.

Habe gestern und vorgestern überwiegend mein #ProtonPass aufgeräumt und umstrukuriert. Hatte vorher überhaupt keinen UseCase für das Ding. Jetzt ist es quasi eine kleine Datenbank und unentbehrliches Tool für meine Schlüsselverwaltung und für das Grundverständnis für meine Nostr Nutzung geworden.
Ich habe jetzt also alles bei mir auf die Verwaltung von Identitäten umgestellt und zugeschnitten. Ich muss sagen, das haben die Chefentwickler gut hingekriegt und bin eigentlich begeistert, wie gut die unterschiedliche (fehlerhafte und begrenzte) Software an diesem entscheidenden Knackpunkt miteinander interagiert. Nostr ist an dieser Stelle unkaputtbar und hat unbedingt eine Zukunft.
Ich bin unter Linux jetzt wahrscheinlich mit nos2x fertig und werde wahrscheinlich zukünftig ein anders Tool verwenden, welches ebenfalls sein Beta-Stadium hinter sich gelassen hat und mit meinem Chromium in Koexistens mit Phanpy sehr gut funktioniert, aber den großen Vorteil bietet, mehrere Identitäten gleichzeitig sicher verwalten und signieren zu können.
Ein Problem war zunächst Android für mich, da die techischen Lösungen dort - wie unter Linux - leider nicht funktionieren. Aber es es gibt unter Android zwei technische Lösungsansätze: Eine mit Amber und eine mit Spring (ein eigener Nostr Browser), die beide für sich unterschiedliche Anwendungen bedienen und sicher ohne App-Tracker laufen. Jetzt bin ich froh, sowohl unter Linux, wie auch mit Android die gleiche Software Identitäts-bezogen und sicher nutzen zu können. Android ist sogar im Vorteil, weil es hier noch den technisch wirklich führenden Amethyst gibt 😀

officially switched off my iCloud photo backup and sharing as now moved all files over to Synology Photo/Drive and Proton Drive, current step in moving family off the Apple Cloud, already have Domain and email moved to Proton, Passwords in Proton Pass with Bitwarden as a backup after their last faux pas. Should be off big tech in full soon.

I’m already a Proton Unlimited subscriber and have been using Proton Pass mainly for sharing passwords and email aliasing. I’ll be moving the rest of my passwords over to it as my time allows.
I’ve been leaning towards this for a while now, but this acquisition is the push I needed to go through with it.
