Ottawa Public Health (OPH) is investigating the City’s first confirmed cases of measles since 2019.
#CDC reports 216 #children died this #flu season, the most in 15 years
The deaths surpassed last year's total of 207, & are the highest number since the 2009-2010 H1N1 swine flu pandemic.
It’s startling that the number already is this high, given that the flu season is still going on. The final #pediatric #death tally for the 2023-2024 flu season wasn’t counted until autumn.

Note that the graphic is labeled "25% decline in childhood vaccination" not 50%. I think this is because the authors wanted an "average" of their models for the graphic. Bottom line: It's bad at 25% and can only get worse! Also note that the #measles numbers are much larger because it is so much more contagious!
