If you use #Publii don't ever move the Sites Location directory. If Publii can't find it where it was last time, it completely shits the bed instead of asking you where the directory is currently.

Inzwischen gibt es aber mehrere Gründe, die eher gegen eine Weiterführung mit WordPress sprechen – und die haben nur sehr peripher mit Matt Mullenwegs Stimmungsschwankungen oder mit der Pflegebedürftigkeit von WordPress zu tun. @jalefkowit Strong Opinion Alert: All #WordPress sites should migrate to #Publii. If you're just making a blog, you don't need fancy databases and you should just statically generate your site. If you do need fancy features, you shouldn't be using WordPress.

Playing with #Publii. As usual, it does about 96% of what I want and frustratingly misses the last few percent.

Hey hypothetical question for users of Publii:
I noticed that there is a custom HTML block option. Is it possible to make an "old school" styled web page with divs and all that though that and still use the blog functionality?
Like this is years in the future, and I want practice HTML on neocoties first but I would love to make an 2000s style website for my brand in the future.
If I can ever get that off the ground...

I know it's a bit niche. But it's as much for my future reference as it is for anyone else.
What I need to fix, really, is why different devices have different folder addresses for my OneDrive folders. But that's for another day.

Love @publii for my CMS, but SO gutted I re-imaged my Linux laptop (from Bluefin to Elementary) and didn't backup either site. Now I have to recreate them both from the live sites before I can create a Publii backup (for next time, there's always a next time). #sysadminfails #publii
Mit diesem PUBLII hat man echt in 15 Minuten seine Website gebaut. Das mit dem offline Basteln und dann am Server syncen erinnert mich ein wenig an die Dreamweaver-Zeiten. Was habe ich mich damals gern herumgespielt! Es hat die letzten zwei Stunden schon wieder Spaß gemacht:
If anyone else is thinking of using #publii I definitely recommend it, if you want a simple easy life. It managed to (mostly) wrangle a WP format xml export from Squarespace in, and went off and made a good attempt at getting all the images (which utterly failed when I tried self hosting WP).
Where I hit snags was on volumn. My first thought was to sync the whole thing, that failed. I had to batch it, push a few (7/8) posts at a time, which persuaded me to clean them up.
