Big refact on my #BlochSphere viewer project. I've ported the js code to #angular and moved it into its own repo: codeberg.org/KissYagni/quantum.

I plan to not only show a single QBit, but build more complex circuit. And to do so, I will need more advanced Ux than 2 slider stuck on the left.

To play with it: kissyagni.com/the-bloch-sphere

A view of a PauliY gate acting on a QBit. The input QBit on the left and result QBit and the right are represented with a Bloch Sphere,

Curious, I looked up "post-quantum cryptography":

Quantum computers, with, for example Shor's algorithm, can factor primes. Wikipedia says:

- In 2001 [...] factored 15 into 3 × 5
- In 2012, the factorization of 15 was performed [...]
- in 2012, the factorization of 21 was achieved.
- In 2016, the factorization of 15 was performed

Hmm, not exactly a Moore's law yet.🤔 128 bit primes are a long way to go.

My #Blochsphere slowly start to be something. I can now represent #Quantum gate effect on a #Qbit.

PauliZ is easy to understand, PauliX and PauliY , Mmm..... Ok, but Hadamard gate is more tricky.

@darkuncle I like that phrase, "attacks always get better, they never get worse"

Can I propose an alternative? Do not look for quantum-resistant encryption. Rather replace the entire existing public-key-private key cryptography with something entirely new. If possible something based on quantum computing principles.

The clock keeps ticking, faster and faster... earth.com/news/china-breaks-rs. The headline is an exaggeration, but the content is worthwhile.

Nuevo record!

@darkuncle Does that improve the chances of us see a practical quantum computer soon?
