What I find absolutely incredible about my research is that people within my broad field (management) think that my research is unnecessary, but if I ask people within my specific field (small business management) or people from other field of business research (especially marketing!), they will all comment on how this research is absolutely necessary and it’s shameful that the study isn’t encouraged.

As part of my need to talk to other queer people (in and out of academia) about my research so I don’t go absolutely off the deep end, I’ve started talking to my uncle. A person who is one of two people in my family that I have fully come out to be necessity of a prior situation. And it’s very nice to be able to talk to someone who fully understands both my topic and my argument, even though they come from a different field.

A very specific question, but does anyone know of a space for job postings targeted at queer folks in the Denver area? When I was an admission counselor, I was in a few fb groups to share job openings and converse about whether those positions were with a safe team and culture or not. Now I'm in a different industry, but would like to be a part of that kind of group again.
