#rabbits

Question for those of you with #houserabbits -- Do any if you have leather furniture that the #rabbits have access to? Do they chew it?

We need to replace our worn-out fabric sofa, which was cheap in the first place, which our buns have chewed holes into. I will be looking at a nice used leather sofa that is for sale for about the same price we would pay for another cheap cloth one. Thanks for the info! #RabbitsOfMastodon

This weekend was crazy for a number of reasons, and this week promises to be even more so. As a result, I don't have new stories about Nesso, Jacob, and the crew ready.

Instead, please enjoy a pic of one of our bunnies, Tila, who is working hard on a model of our solar system.

Tila, a white rabbit with black ears, a black nose, and red eyes, is sitting on floor on the left side of the picture. She's looking at me over her right shoulder.

To her right is part of a greenish hay cube. There are four poops in a line with the hay cube at the 10 o'clock position. There is a fifth poop at the 12 o'clock position.

The hay cube represents the Sun, and the five poops represent Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, and Jupiter.

I read the graphic novel adaptation of "Watership Down" in one sitting last night. I've read the original novel umpteen times since I first read it as a child, so it was an interesting esperience to read the story in a new format. The book deserves all the awards and nominations it's received, and I'd love to see "Tales from Watership Down" adapted by the same writer and illustrator.

A #brushRabbit, I think, for #WildlifeWednesday. Spotted this little fluffball while walking from the car to the entrance of the Twin Falls trailhead. It looks so different from the rabbits we have in Europe! 🥹
This, along with a rat at Pike Place Market, was the only wildlife I managed to spot during that week in #Washington 😅

A photograph of a wild rabbit in its natural habitat, resting on a patch of grass beside a dirt path. The rabbit, with its brown and grey fur, is crouched low to the ground, facing slightly to the left. Its ears are upright, and it appears alert. The surrounding area is a mix of green grass, scattered leaves, and twigs, with a hint of bare soil on the path. The background features sparse vegetation and a few fallen branches.
