When I wrote "Going Nowhere Fast" (GNF) many years ago, I also wrote a companion "Car #Setup Guide" (CSG), as a quick reference on how to set up the #raceCar in the pits and how to adapt one's driving technique to rein in a recalcitrant car once out of the pits. Of course, to read CSG, one must already know race car dynamics, suspension geometry, engine power curves, drive train design, etc., which was the purpose of a complete reference like GNF. Every Sunday I look back at the preceding week in Kpop and pick out a music video or performance that I have particularly liked. This week I have chosen izna – Racecar.

A difficult choice this week, but I finally settled on this “Racecar” stage.

The song does not have a fully sung chorus, but I am not one of those who make it an inflexible rule to damn the “empty chorus” The prechorus works very well, and I like the vocals. I do wish the song had been extended.

I chose this stage because a restrained use of colour achieved that “unity without uniformity” look which I find so appealing. Kpop does not have to be all eyepopping colour and more of everything.

One of my friends found this 1982 Volkswagen Scirocco (GL?) car in a house clearance or something and now has it. He’s trying to fix it up to make it usable (who knows how long that’ll take, lol).

Anyways, I hadn’t seen it before today so I went with a few other friends to take a look, it’s pretty cool, haha Love how vintage it really is

It’ll take a while to fix, but he’s slowly doing it bit by bit.

I’m pretty sure the electrics work, but there are holes all over 😭
