Finally something positive to post. I'm on a mini bike camping trip. I needed to clear my head. And this helps. And the never ending strugle with our climate makes this a sane way of spending my time. This is one of the darkest and quietest (when the tourists are gone) places of the Netherlands. #bike #biketrailer #camping #dwingeloo #drenthe #radicaldesign

@ascentale @scottsthoughts #BikeNite A6: I mostly use an older, large, black #Brompton "C bag" front bag or a more rigid, red one from #RadicalDesign, both made from Cordura. I also have an U-shaped rear rack top bag, but I only used it for doing groceries so far. (I usually put in the beverages due to their weight.) If I need further space, I use a backpack or a #cargotrailer.

I also have a front rack for the Brompton—but so far seldomly used it. I'm also thinking about buying a front basket.

@IPEdmonton: Ich war nach der Demo noch Einkaufen mit dem #Brompton bei frühlingshaften 10 Grad Celsius. Habe dabei zum ersten Mal die rote Gepäckträgertasche von #EerderMetaal bzw. #RadicalDesign benutzt, u.a. weil ich das Gewicht von Getränken nicht vorne drin haben wollte. Es passt unerwartet viel rein in die Hecktasche. Und sie selbst passt übrigens bei Leerfahrten quer super in die rote Fronttasche! Some #EerderMetaal goodies arrived from the Netherlands recently and today was the first day, I used my new red #RadicalDesign front bag on the #Brompton to fetch a parcel from the post office.

Not focussed but in front there's a stainless steel arm with a smiley cut into its end peeking out from below the front-bag. The smiley's nose is a screw holding a rubber bump on the opposite/bottom side. (It's a tiny guard which avoids that the front bag tips over when fully loaded but not mounted.)

@lerk @aktenfresser: Ganz toller Service von #Eerdermetaal: Hatte im Kommentar zur Bestellung das mit der schnell vergriffenen roten #Brompton Fronttasche von #RadicalDesign erwähnt und man hat einen anderen Kunden, der vier bestellt hatte, gefragt, ob alle vier rot sein müssen. Mussten sie nicht und so ist nachträglich doch noch eine in meiner Bestellung gelandet. 🤩 Cc @IPEdmonton

@lerk: Jepp, mit dem #FullMetalBracket von #EerderMetaal habe ich schon länger geliebäugelt und nun grade auch eins bestellt. So wie's aussieht das letzte, das auf Lager war. 🤷 Kommen aber hoffentlich wieder welche. Leider war die rote Fronttasche von #RadicalDesign fürs #Brompton schon wieder ausverkauft, obwohl sie laut Benachrichtigungsmail erst von 10 Tagen 9 neue bekommen haben. Da bin ich halt nun wieder auf der Warteliste.

The #brompton can pull up to 40 kg that is plenty, it will shorten your mainenance intervalls though. I am using a hook system from #radicaldesign. But even the #brompton folds too big to be carried in a single seater kayak except on deck maybe.

ah that is a radicaldesign hitch. my brompton has one, too. I have two refittet trailers with that hitch. #brompton #radicaldesign

it is a tow hitch from #radicaldesign which works together with #brompton folding mechanism, which is used instead of a sidestand to park the bike. Their trailer is quite nice, too but not exactly what I need.

Today I upgraded my bicycle trailers with #radicaldesign tow hitches. Especially when you have a #brompton towing them the advantage is that you can fold away the rear wheel with a hooked up trailer which means you can park bike and #trailer without uncoupling both.
