Finished: Ranma 1/2 remake s1
While there are some questionable aspects that I talked about before (a lot of fighting to “win” someone by beating someone else), the character dynamics work and make this a fun show even today.
And I really like the choice of colors in the remake, everything looks really vibrant and nice.
Good show to keep watching.

Ich finde diese albernen Wettkämpfe großartig. Manchmal habe ich das Gefühl das die Mangaka damals einfach nur Kampfsport an Random Tätigkeiten gepackt hat.

Die Regeln für diese Kampfsportgymnastik sind wohl eher Richtlinien als Regeln. Anders ist nicht zu erklären das Kodachi so offensichtlich create kann ohne disqualifiziert zu werden.

Currently watching episode 6 of Ranma (2024), and the story is moving along so much faster than the original anime. Kodachi shows up in this episode, while in the original she didn't show up until episode 11.

They definitely are cutting out most of the anime only content from the original.

New anime: we started the #Ranma12 remake. First of all, I appreciate how they didn’t try to move this to a contemporary setting like a lot of remakes or first time anime based on older manga.
And then I have to say that the slapstick humor kind of works for me. I can’t say that I was ever a huge Ranma fan, but I like it. The characters are what makes it live, and although they’re not terribly nuanced, there’s already a few things in the first episode that I hadn’t remembered and that I like quite much, like Akane genuinely trying to get along with (female) Ranma and him actually being insecure about his situation. I think we’ll keep watching this.

Ryōga ist wieder da und Daniel Schlauch spricht ihn ganz toll! Ich genieße die deutsche Synchro vom #Ranma ½ Remake wirklich sehr. 🥰
Der Kampf von Ryōga und Ranma war auch cool anzusehen mit den Farbkontrasten!
Ranmas Empfindlichkeit in Bezug auf sein Männlichkeit sehe ich heute nochmal mit ganz anderen Augen.

Ich liebe die Dynamik zwischen Ranma und Akane.
Auch wenn es ziemlich offensichtlich ist wohin sie sich entwickelt.
Mit Kuno ist in E2 auch einer meiner liebsten "Antagonisten" der Serie aufgetreten.

Florian Knorn als Ranma zu hören ist so schön. 🥹 Die Wahl ist ganz passend und die Stimme hab ich abseits von den Digimon Fortsetzungen so lange nicht gehört. Ich freu mich.

Ranma 1/2 (2024) Episode 1 Impressions

I was wondering how this new adaptation would be, and for the most part it felt mostly like the original and its episode 1. There are some slight differences, including dialogue. (I've rewatched Ranma a lot LOL)

I like the animation and updated character designs, but it was weird that when they decided to show nudity they had no butt crack or nipples... Like just don't show them if you don't want to have that in the show. It felt like barbie dolls.

I don't enjoy the OP and ED theme songs too much. Didn't feel like Ranma music, but that's just me being an old men yelling at clouds. I'll just skip them from here on out.

Still hyped to keep up with this one
