Re-reading "The Dispossessed" the classic by Ursula K. Le Guin (1974).
I do have mixed feelings about it. Especially with the usual interpretation that it is about "an anarchist utopia". To me it appears much more like some version of the Cold War opposition between capitalists and communists. More interesting the dynamics between knowledge and power and maybe how ideal social organizations may degenerate... Still, it is an interesting reading.
All in all the non capitalistic but poor society in the book, doesn't seem to me a nice model or example for degrowth...
