String of Coherence, 2023, ink on paper.
Artist: Thit Senstius.

Coherence: (Latin: cohaerentia)
a1: the quality or state of being logical and consistent
: systematic or logical connection or consistency
Ex1: The thought as a whole lacks coherence.
Ex2: Is there a larger vision, a coherence behind any of this?

a2: integration of diverse elements, relationships, or values
Ex: The various parts of this mind—vibrant in color, in shape, in
placement—join together with remarkable coherence.

b: the quality of forming a unified whole.
Ex: the book began to lose coherence and the writers took separate directions

String (Old English: streng)
1: a piece of strong, thin rope of very thin twisted threads, used for fastening and tying things: a package tied with string

2: verb (used without object), strung or (Rare) stringed; to form into a string or series: The ideas string together coherently.

3: a ligament or nerve in a body (outdated)

5: a hypothetical one-dimensional object that is infinitely thin but has a length of centimeters, that vibrates as it moves through space

cosmic string (Physics)
1: a mathematical entity used to represent elementary particles, as gravitons, quarks, or leptons, in terms of a small but finite stringlike object existing in the four dimensions of spacetime and in additional, hypothetical, spacelike dimensions. The theory of such objects (string theory) avoids the many mathematical difficulties that arise from treating particles as points.

The Scar Is Not The Memory. Metamorphogram, silk thread.

First in a series.

Unfolding origami, folds remain, like scars gained in the process.

But a scar is a mnemonic, not a memory.

Here, the memory (cyanotype + origami = metamorphogram; a visible memory) and scars overlap.

Sometimes, the process of becoming is so tough that stitches are needed to repair the damage.

Imagine an origami bowl, 4 sided, folded from a single sheet. Unfolded, the areas where light touched the bowl are now blue. The areas of the paper which were hidden from light are white. The square central area has negative images of circular forms, like ghost coins haunting the bowl. Running orizontally left from the centre, and diagonally halfway to the top right corner, are two short sections of simple red silk stitching.
