Well, it's been almost two weeks, and no refund credit back to my credit card, so I contacted Amazon again. I had contacted them last week and they said to be patient.
Dealing with chat bots is frustrating as it keeps telling me refund is on the way.
Status on the order page says refund in progress.
I had to have Amazon call me, which again, initially automated, telling me everything is processing and refund should arrive in a week.
I finally spoke to a live person, and learned that Amazon instead of crediting my credit card, sent me a gift card credit on Amazon, which was consumed with another purchase-- a digital movie that doesn't go through the normal checkout process. I actually do a lot of business with Amazon and had looked at my orders and didn't see anything that said credit or discount, HOWEVER, there's a separate amazon gift card page, where it details it.
GRRR. Told them I had no idea that happened and couldn't find it. It's just frustrating.
