I was working on my arguments for intersubjective relativism and came upon a convincing deductive argument. It is this.

But yeah, I want to expand community to include the rest of nature or our ecosystems. We socially interact not just with humans but non-humans. We form a larger community with non-humans mattering as community members too and having rights. That being said I'm going to promote the idea that all humans (modern Western biological definition) are people. Possibly minus our enemies such as capitalists and fascists. The reason why is because I believe in and promote the sociability criterion of personhood. A person is someone sociable, whether human or non-human. A person is a member of the community who cares about and for other members. My thinking is if you want to be viewed and treated as a person act like a person. Capitalists and fascists sufficiently don't act like people so they aren't people. Also to be clear I'm not unmovable on this position and my mind can be changed. Also I said certain forms of cannibalism because for the sake of international solidarity we should oppose accepting certain forms of cannibalism on the global scale. Human predation is the form of cannibalism I'm thinking of. How can we be united if we're hunting each other for food? We can't. It undermines international solidarity and that's why I oppose it. However, mortuary cannibalism is okay on the global scale if the practice ever spread. That being said I'm inclined to accept human predation on the same scale where certain peoples still hunt what I consider to be other humans for food. Especially if they choose to not join the communal confederation and retain their lifestyle. It's because who is and isn't human is arbitrary. Think about the humans that hunted and ate neanderthals (and vice versa). Are the latter human? Where do you draw the line? I'm going to start ramping up the defense of other cultures. Whether it's lack of recursion, lack of time, lack of numbers, different conceptions of time, different logics, different religions, eating dogs, whaling, animal sacrifice, certain forms of cannibalism such as mortuary cannibalism, and possibly female genital modification. I say possibly at the end because I still oppose aspects of cultures that are supremacist, hierarchical, and bigoted. So if female genital modification is about enforcing a gender binary and sexism then I oppose it. However, I also see the ethnocentrism in people against it. Where are the people opposing female genital modification when surgeons are "fixing" intersex people to be one sex or the other? What I'm probably going to promote are subjectivism and relativism. Not only do I think they're true but they are necessary for the equality and liberty of cultures. My natural argument is likely going to be the deductive argument. The argument is basically that cognitive adaptability is human nature and that it makes having an unchanging absolute standard of correctness for worldviews impossible. We are built to learn and adapt to our environments, not have rigid ideas, standards, etc. #philosophy #anthropology #relativism
