Let me take you back waaaaay back in time. It's around 2007/2008 B.C (before Covid). I am 14~ish, nearly 6ft tall, I look like my Dad but just with mascara on, (this hasn't changed), and I have not discovered hair gel is good for styling curly hair - and you can absolutely tell. Some poor unwitting soul, (my aunt), has decided to give me a disposable Kodak camera. I do not know what I am doing - and again, you can absolutely tell. This is one of the first photo's I have ever taken. I know you're finding it hard to believe because of how in focus and well composed it is - but rest assured friend, I am telling the truth. So, the moral of the story is - stay in school kids. ✨

The original Dawn of War is right up there with my favourite RTS games alongside Age of Empires II, Red Alert 2/Tiberian Sun and Company of Heroes (another Relic classic!)

So you could say I'm a bit keen for the newly announced remaster. The Space Marine remaster should be good as well.

I'm cautiously interested in Earth vs Mars. Relic's power in the industry has certainly waned since the days of the original Dawn of War, Company of Heroes and Space Marine games.

But they're independent now and in charge of their own destiny. Makes me wonder whether their slide into mediocrity was as a result of losing the spark that made them great in the first place, or if it was due to executive meddling on the part of Sega (for the record I quite enjoyed CoH3, but not enough to finish it).

I think the overall concept of the game passes the vibe check, and the aesthetic at this early stage looks really quirky an interesting.

Let's see how it turns out. Should be out "Summer 2025", which I'm assuming to mean mid-year.
