Any retro gamers know of a good 'all in one' Sega console, that has all the classic games, Master System, Mega Drive, Genesis etc?

Happy 30th anniversary to the original playstation!

I purchased mine second-hand and it was covered with a rather distressed stuck on cover. After removal, the beauty within.

There was even a dead spider inside as a weird bonus!

The retro party for family and friends I set up this year was so successful, I'm planning another.

Going to add Saturn, NES, Mega Drive & original Xbox to the Dreamcast, N64, SNES & PS1.

I think I'll need another table! And yes, I have enough CRTs to accommodate this 🫠

This image shows a retro gaming setup featuring several classic gaming consoles and CRT televisions. Here's what's visible:

1. PlayStation 1 (PS1): The first console on the left, with two grey controllers connected.

2. Sega Dreamcast: The second console, identifiable by its white colour and the distinctive controller design.
L

3. Nintendo 64 (N64): The third console with a black body and grey controllers. It has a red expansion pack on top.

4. Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES): The fourth console, featuring two SNES controllers, and a "Super Mario Kart" game cartridge inserted.

Each console is connected to a CRT television or monitor displaying a relevant game screen. The overall setup evokes a sense of nostalgia, aimed at recreating the retro gaming experience.

Is there a #RetroConsoles bubble on Fedi? Today i failed to whiten a classic Gameboy using #retrobrite and need advice on what could have gone wrong!
I let the shell sit in 3% Hydrogen Peroxide with around 2 Teaspoons of OxiClean for ~18 hours under some UV Strips. But sadly it looks pretty much the same as before :I
I have had success doing it this way before on gameboy color shells, and didn't want to let the shell sit any longer to not damage it.
Any ideas what i could try?

The analog stick on my recently purchased Nintendo 64 controller wasn't quite sensitive enough and sometimes sticking with movement.

I thought I would open it up to see what the problem might be. Well it soon became obvious, it was NASTY! Gunk of some description must have got in there at some point.

Now all cleaned and working great thank goodness.

A question for the more technical gang here.

I know that retro consoles (with all their microcontrollers) had way different architectures than modern ones (that resemble more like a small PC) and probably this had something to do with cutting production costs and compatibility.

When did this change happen? When did consoles stop being this intricate electronical marvels and became what we have now?

Alright, I finally took the time to take care of my #PSP #AnalogStick problem - or rather, I took the time to try out a few things to figure out what's wrong, since I haven't been able to fix it yet.
I'm gonna describe my issue and the current state of things in more detail in the thread below.
If any of the #RetroGamers around here can give me some advice, that would be most welcome! (#BoostsAppreciated 🙏)

It's been quite a process, but after cleaning up the mess left behind by one of the capacitors that leaked its guts everywhere and replacing all of the main ones, it's now up and running again.

Of course I went straight to launch title Halo Combat Evolved for testing purposes!

Getting the solder out of the holes after removing the capacitors ranged from easy to difficult. Thankfully I had help, although I can see why people invest in a desoldering station!
