I have a few schematics I use on interviews to see if people can troubleshoot. Twenty years ago, people could. Nobody can now. Nobody teaches electronics for technicians. Engineers, yes. Technicians, no.
So I'm rewriting the test and changing it into training. I'm doing all the work in my private wiki and have found "reveal-js" is perfect for interactive training!

in #revealjs I have a section containing a div with the r-stack class, that contains divs with fragment and current-visible classes. How do I get the FIRST of those to be displayed when the section loads, but go away when I move to the next one? Right now I get a blank page when the page loads and have to step twice to get the first content, which seems odd. Anyone have a solution? My normal tricks don't seem to be working. :/

I'm currently experimenting with #revealJS, because: Slides written in markdown seem really really good so far :).
I had to configure the animations out for accessibility reasons but thats's essily done in the config object.
I wish they had mentioned accessibility considerations on their website, though. There might be things I did not consider. :breadthink:

Does anyone have a ready-made theme for #RevealJs slides that looks a bit more "academic"?
The font size is waaay too large and the shadows around images not needed.
(I'm kind of too short on time to fiddle with CSS)

New blogpost: "Running presentations from a standalone Linux installation on a bootable USB memory stick"
tl;dr: A Linux installation on a USB stick, onto which I can copy my presentation slides, so that I can boot my laptop from that USB stick when I come to give a presentation, thereby leaving my actual drive (and thus my documents, email etc) encrypted.
Why on earth didnβt I think of this sooner?!
Why havenβt I seen other people who present a lot talking about something like this. Am I missing something?
Tried again this morning to play with #quarto and its ability to generate slides in revealjs (i.e. html) format, but with limited success. Main issue is the figures: they don't show up, or they are uncentered (the doc says they should be centered by default?).
Fortunately, generating beamer slides work great, so never mind.
Have you guys had more luck?
Big fan of quarto otherwise, so easy to use, and the documentation is great.
