As you know, we are fighting for our home and our culture. Fortunately, we have a great lawyer who is on our side and understands that we are not (only) fighting for our own happiness, but want to preserve something. In our naivety, we had thought that perhaps the city would have some interest in preserving something like this. So far, we have done everything on our own initiative, and with your help, we will continue to do so.
Our plan now is to take over the Reinecker Villa on our neighbouring property and convert it into a cultural and music centre. It has been vacant for over 20 years and has been kept in reasonable shape by the GGG, but it has no purpose. It used to be a cultural venue and has a small concert hall (which I think is really cool). We’ll see.
We will now do everything we can to keep going. We urgently need your help. It will probably cost money and, first of all, it has to be made possible, as other people have to decide. So anything that brings us closer to our goal would be great. Feel free to get in touch if you have any ideas or contacts of any kind – no matter what, we have to keep going somehow. Thank you :))

Wie ihr wisst, kämpfen wir um unser Haus und unsere Kultur. Wir haben zum Glück einen super guten Anwalt, der auf unserer Seite ist und versteht, dass wir hier nicht (nur) um unser eigenes Glück kämpfen, sondern was erhalten wollen. In unserer Naivität hatten wir gedacht, dass vielleicht die Stadt ein gewisses Interesse hat, dass so was erhalten beleibt. Wir haben bis jetzt alles aus Eigeninitiative gemacht und mit eurer Hilfe machen wir das auch weiter so.
Unser Plan ist jetzt, die Reinecker Villa auf unserem Nachbargrundstück zu übernehmen und zu einem Kultur- und Musikhaus umzugestalten. Die steht seit über 20 Jahren leer und wurde von der GGG einigermaßen in Schussgehalten, hat aber keine Aufgabe. Vorher war sie schon eine Kulturstätte und hat z. B. einen kleinen Konzertraum (was ich super cool finde). Mal sehen.
Wir werden jetzt alles daran setzen, weiter machen zu können. Wir benötigen da dringend eure Hilfe. Es wird wahrscheinlich Geld kosten und überhaupt muss es erst mal möglich werden, da das ja andere Menschen entscheiden. Also alles, was uns der Sache näher bringt, wäre gut. Meldet euch gern, wenn ihr Ideen habt oder Kontakte jeglicher Art - egal was, irgendwie muss es weiter gehen. Danke :))

It's nice that there are recordings of it. It's a very impressive memory. On a Tuesday evening in the East German mountains. Some of the people who were there had traveled a long way. It was a “one man” band evening with KoneKrawallKlub, Reverend Elvis solo and the incredible Joe Buck (Yourself). Another kind of magic that only happens very rarely.

One of the most extraordinary musicians to date is Billie Holiday.
I don't know what it is that makes her so magical. I've always listened to her music, even though it's not really my thing. I think Lady Day has this depth because she knows what she's singing about. She grew up in a brothel as a child, most likely experiencing all the hardships one could imagine. She became the absolute superstar of the young jazz scene. She was especially loved by the white “enlightened” bourgeoisie, who liked to look at negroes on stage. Hypocritical and dishonest as they are to this day, Ms. Holiday was only allowed to use the back entrance.
Just like today, they claim that this humiliation was not at all their fault but that of the evil racists somewhere in the south behind the mountains. But it's not true! Just like today, they are hypocrites and liars, worse racists than the KKK could ever be. Shame on you!
In retrospect, it can be said that Ms. Holiday left behind wonderfully sad, deep, incredibly beautiful songs. Only at what a price.
