Instead of a Derby party, today turned into pepper planting. 10 jalapenos went into two square planters, a cal wonder into a big round one, and I potted up 12 assorted others. Now a dozen poblanos in a fake kratsky (a self watering seed starter full of a+b and calmag) are suddenly wilting out of jealousy. So I guess they get soil today too.
The Ring of Fire (8 Habaneros in all the colors, plus 2 ghosties) is still in the Hab-itat DWC indoors but I'm thinking it's almost time for them to move out into the sun..
(I also planted a dozen tomatoes and a ton of purple basil and stuff yesterday but that is all just supporting cast for my pepper recipes)

Ring of Fire update! I got bored and turned some old garage junk (and a cheap pet-water USB pump) into a new #hydroponic setup. It's basically a half-assed 5gal #DWC using a sprinkler head waterfall for oxygenation. I'm feeding A+B with heavy calmag and the ones who can reach it seem happy. (A few have had to spend the night in the old setup getting longer roots.)
In no particular order, there are 2 each of Ghost, Red Hab, Orange Hab, sense a theme?, 2 Yellow Hab, and one White Hab. (After 8 tries, only that one has started. 🤷)
If we can get some sun with this warm, I can sanitize enough soil to put the planter out and let the myco and worms get established before planting day.

Vaguely started to get my #running mojo sorted again following the #ringOfFire last September. I've had about 3 colds since then and took a fall in a race a month ago which has really knocked any consistent training on the head.

Finally did some training planning with the coach yesterday and we've pencilled in the #SkyRunEryri Copper trail in May. Although the bigger races look more like what I want, there is no way I'll be back to 40k+/3-5k ascent in 3months after the last 6! #skyRunning
