Something a wee bit different. The Glasgow Corporation Tram 543 currently on display at the Riverside Museum in Glasgow. This horse-drawn tram dates back to 1894.

It was probably more reliable than the electric boneshakers that followed - and the end product was good for the allotment 😜

Our forefathers had to wait until 1901 before they could hop on a motorised bus, although there were horse-drawn buses available. No rails and still good for the allotment.

This Albion Venturer was built by Albion Motors Glasgow specifically for Glasgow Corporation Transport in 1949. It was withdrawn from service in 1963.

The production plaque on the Glen Douglas, a steam locomotive built by the North British Railway Company in the Cowlairs area of Glasgow in 1913. This K-Class 4-4-0 locomotive spent the next 20 years pulling carriages along the West Highland Line between Glasgow and Mallaig, one of the most stunning railway journeys in the world, which had opened in 1894. The Glen Douglas is now housed in the Riverside Museum, home to Glasgow's amazing transport collection.
