Is "The BFG" 2016 about the Epstein files?

2016's Steven Spielberg movie The BFG ( or the Big Friendly Giant ) is about a relationship between a little girl ( played by Ruby Barnhill ) and a giant old man ( played by Sir Mark Rylance in his second collaboration with Spielberg ). At some point the movie becomes about a conspiracy to manipulate the Queen of England herself ( played by Penelope Wilton ) to use her help, so that haters of BFG's relationship with the girl will be defeated with military force. So obviously it begs the question: Is this movie actually about Jeffery Epstein?

#Kinderbuch #FediEltern #RoaldDahl

90s Taschenbuchausgabe Penguin.

An illustration to Saki’s “The Boar-Pig”, by Quentin Blake: a dark-haired young girl, wearing an Edwardian-era frock, is sitting up a tree. She is looking down, smiling, at two ladies wearing Edwardian finery, with puffed shoulders, gloves, and elaborate hats. One lady is just peeking into the frame of the picture; the other, a robust woman carrying a small handbag in one hand an a furled parasol in the other, is looking up at the young girl in some dismay.

Roald Dahl (1916–1990) was born #OTD, 13 September. A huge influence on his writing was Saki (Hector Hugh Munro, 1870–1916). Dahl wrote,

“In all literature, [Saki] was the first to employ successfully a wildly outrageous premise in order to make a serious point. I love that. And today the best of his stories are still better than the best of just about every other writer around.”
