Frankly, an absolute belter of a live album, especially in hard rock, where these live renditions of their songs easily outshine their studio counterparts thanks to the ferocity and intensity of the playing. On this album, UFO are firing on all cylinders, tight and raw, buzzing with late-'70s sweat-soaked guitar energy, and delivering what is easily their finest moment. Michael Schenker is in ridiculous form, serving up fluid, melodic leads with real bite, whilst Phil Mogg sounds cool and confident. Pete Way deserves proper credit too! His bass is loud, loose, and driving, adding real swagger and menace that pushes the whole band forward. No gloss and no fuss, just proper rock ’n’ roll grit, big hooks, and a band fully locked in! A bona fide classic, and a reminder that UFO, like Wishbone Ash and a few others, never quite got the mainstream recognition they deserved over the years, which only makes them more special to those who appreciate them.
