I was really struggling anyway to take a shot of Alcatraz from that far away with effectively a 35mm focal length. The island looked tiny in a big frame with nothing interesting around it. But as I was taking the steps down towards the bay, I caught this frame and I'm glad I decided to take the shot on a whim. While taking this shot is when I realized that I probably goofed the last one, but I didn't want to climb back up the hill to see if the red bus was still there.

A color photograph of a many gnarly tree trunks and branches mostly in silhouette with some areas of the tree bark being lit by the sunlight in patches. There is one larger opening in the middle of all the chaos that opens up to the background where Alcatraz island can be seen in the Bay waters and the hillside and a few clouds behind it on the other side. Shot with a Rolleiflex Standard1935 and ZeissTessar75f3.5 lens, on KodakGold200, and developed with BelliniC41 by Shom Bandopadhaya. I wish I could claim I intended to do a double exposure. In fact I suspected I had accidentally double exposed a few minutes later when taking the next shot once I had left the area. I'm glad this has turned into a happy accident with the Coit Tower in the background and Alcatraz above the grill.

Had a couple frames left on a roll of very expired Tri-X in the Rolleiflex, so I snapped this photo of Alice. There wasn't enough light for focusing and shooting the TLR handheld, but I got lucky and I quite like the way it looks.
