Yesterday I went to #RSPB #Snettisham in #Norfolk to see a Short-toed Lark that's been feeding on the beach there. Here are the floral highlights of my day out - Autumn Hawkbit, Common Storksbill, Carline Thistle (very dead, but with the seed heads still intact) and Viper's Bugloss. #WildflowerHour #Bloomscrolling #botany #plants #flowers #wildflowers #photography

A yellow flower like a small dandelion seen from the side. The undersides of the petals have a hint of faint red stripes and definitely no green stripes.

A pink flower with 5 petals, the lower ones slightly longer than the upper ones.

A dead plant with dried up spiny leaves. Several large thistle seed heads are still attached and still have seeds which haven't yet blown away.

I’ve not posted for a while. I went away for a couple of weeks and managed to kill my camera in the sea!!! I did manage to get some spectacular shots before the accident which I will be posting soon.
In the meantime I took this at the beginning of August. It is a Chiffchaff enjoying the Silver Birch trees in the garden.

On Friday I was at #RSPB #BemptonCliffs where I know they have the white form of Musk Mallow growing on site. Most of the flowers were over but a few were still out. A Reed Warbler at RSPB Strumpshaw Fen, we were walking along the river path and heard some chicks in a nest intermittently. The parents were in and out of the tree with plenty of insects.
