The left side of the photo shows a ponderosa pine that has split about 20 feet up the trunk into two separate trunks, which go sideways a little way then turn upward, so the tree is shaped like a tuning fork. The sky is very blue with only a few wispy clouds. There are lots of other ponderosa trees behind the tuning fork tree.

At the lower right, closer to the camera, is an arrangement of large (several feet on a side) rocks in a roughly circular pattern, an old pueblo ruin.

All I can see is a hole in the roof ( which is letting in water)

Der Ort hat deutlichen Lost-Place-Charakter. Zwischen den steilen Schluchtwänden verbergen sich die Spuren eines verlassenen Höhlendorfs, das jahrhundertelang von Menschenhand geprägt wurde. Viele der ehemals bewohnten Grotten und Terrassen sind mittlerweile vom Wildwuchs zurückerobert, teils durch Einsturz, Erosion oder Vegetation schwer zugänglich.

Today saw a chilly visit to Buildwas Abbey in Shropshire. Established in the 12 century as a Savignac Abbey, soon becoming Cistercian.

Buildwas has a dark history, one of the abbots was murdered by a monk. The abbots ghost is said to still haunt the grounds.
