In that prior ep they were still sufficiently vague as to be able to claim plausible deniability, so i persisted, albeit with dark foreboding. However in S3 E1 they dropped any pretence of subtlety & just went for it, via a big boofy supposed crossdresser, with that as The Joke.

Firstly, if an individual succeeds in the selection process (regardless of gender or sex) then, that individual deserves to ‘serve’ and be recognised for their service.

Secondly, this obvious patriarchic ideology is anathema to modern society, since the ADF is ‘society’ trained to defend itself, all those ‘male egos’ should just cool it, do their job and provide support to fellow soldiers equally.

Thirdly, though not the final say in this matter, defending one’s country by closing-in with the enemy to render them ineffective is not the preserve of one sex, never has been - read histroy folks!
