Started thinking about the album Michael Jackson's Off The Wall. I loved that album, but all of the CD releases I always felt sounded kind of meh. Then I started looking and guess what! #MobileFidelitySoundLab just released a new remaster of it last month as a Hybrid CD/SACD. I found a FLAC rip of the CD layer on the high seas and I am floored. The Blue Man Group's AUDIO album is one of my favorite multi-channel high res 192/24 audio albums that I have. The mix itself, the incredible highs, the insanely rich base. Completely independent tracks written for each speaker. Some people have no clue how the titles show up when you load a CD into a media player. 🤦‍♂️
The data can be stored on and read from the disc, but it is pretty rare on standard CDs. CD-Text is a standard feature on SACDs however, so the track names will display on dedicated players. 📀 #CD #CompactDisc #SACD #ABBA

I just had a pleasant lunch break listening to the new #DolbyAtmos #BluRay of the classic #DavidBowie album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars!

I've got plenty of #DVD-A and #SACD albums, but this is my first Blu Ray Audio; it was incredible!

Even though I don't have an Atmos setup this still sounded amazingly clear downmixed to 5.1; one of the best surround albums I've ever heard.

Bowie's vocals are so clear that at times it's like you're in the studio with him.

Sí, vayamos en 32 bits por esos 192 kHz (o, incluso, por los 384, ¡¡qué tanto!! :laptop_parrot:). Pero no permitamos que oportunistas crean que tienen el control de los estándares de audio digital de alta resolución. Por eso celebro que tanto el #SACD como el #DVDAudio hallan fracasado, y que hoy FLAC sea el vencedor en el mundo de audio digital sin pérdidas, y que Opus esté a poco tiempo de consagrarse en el audio digital lossy. :thinkerguns:
