Dancers like those folk seated around the room are being ripped off, they are funding a #tangoindustry which exists in an alternative reality.
No-one who truly loves tango would use show-steps !

When the weather is fine we attend an outdoor #milonga (#tango social dance) at the home of our #tangoteacher. Dancing en plein air is a very healthy way to exercise, but not for #hayfever sufferers obviously. 😜
And, definitely not if you are allergic to #bee stings as there are 6 #beehives in this garden space.

Edinburgh has a well established #tangocommunity now and an annual festival run by Jenny and Ricardo Oria the time-served adorable husband and wife team.

Actually most UK major towns and cities have a steadfast tango hub. Here in Swansea we have both #salontango and #tangonuevo although I can't boast too much about the nuevo set-up, as I'm not impressed with the people involved in running it.

To build legacy we need to reach younger people.

I've no idea who the young man is but when we danced magic happened. We both felt the power of the communication through embrace, it was electric. We didn't speak to exchange small-talk we kept the embrace close between each in the [3 pieces of music].

Three weeks or so ago our paths crossed again on a different dancefloor ... at the Argentine Embassy Milonga. We enjoyed another beautiful

Before breaking my ankle, while gardening last June, I bought this beautiful fabric in order to create a bespoke - a one-off special occasion. Twelve months on, ankle has healed well, and I've finished the project and look forward to wearing it at my favourite

Last night's #milonga event to celebrate the 80th birthday of the Godfather of Welsh #tango was a well balanced event: dancing 50% of the time and socialising with friends for the remainder.
[Minor issue - the caterers had not included a single #glutenfree item on the food table.]
DJ must have worked really hard to find alternative #tangotune versions of our fav orchestras, unfortunately some we didn't even recognise.

Today's #milonga experience will be different and is expected to draw hundreds to a village hall on the outskirts of #Cardiff #Caerdydd It's the 80th birthday celebration of a gentleman who can be recorded as having had the strongest influence on #tango in #Wales. Mike Fussell brought #tangodancing to us decades ago and has been a stalwart in the task of teaching generations of people the beautiful art of #salontango
We will be celebrating alongside his family and chums from his Sailing Club.

Followers often dance #argentinetango with their eyes closed relying entirely on the Leader to design the dance in accordance to the phrases in the music - incorporating #legato and #staccato moves to express the emotion felt. ALL the emotion is felt and absorbed by the Follower.
