Wild Intrigue return with a week-long exhibition at BottleWorks, with talks and safaris, all about Ouseburn’s lush summer residents: the sand martins. Open 12th-16th June 10:00 to 17:00 hrs every day.

It is a magical experience to see them in such large numbers and to hear the rustle of their wings as the flock billows across the sky.

Unfortunately you cannot enjoy this picture in full resolution.

Here you can see a small section of a huge flock of #SandMartins

They gather here before their big flight to their winter quarters. In the mornings and evenings the swarm joins together and flies together, so their cohesion is strengthened.
