Here's the latest SARS-CoV-2 variant picture for Japan to mid-May. Regrettably, the sample volumes shrank from April onwards, so the picture is uncertain.
The NB.1.8.1 "Nimbus" variant grew during May to 33%. It is probably dominant by now over XEC.*, which was declining.
Here's the latest SARS-CoV-2 variant picture for India where further samples were shared during the week, to late May.
It now shows the XFG.* is dominant at 65%, with some competition from a late FLiRT sub-variant.

Here's the latest SARS-CoV-2 variant picture for Thailand to late May, confirming the dominance of the NB.1.8.1.* "Nimbus" variant for the current wave.
It was already very dominant at around 63% when sample sharing restarted in late April. The frequency then rose through to late May to finish at around 86%.
