#POTA DE-0618 Königsbrücker Heide (#WWFF DLFF-0141, #GMA DA/SX-230 Wettinhöhe) is a former military training area. When you climb the tower, you’re able to see the enormous size of it. There are two nice places to sit which allow you to put up decent antennas. Zentral erhebt sich ein Industrieschornstein von einem alten Ringlokschuppen. Der Russische Pavillon auf dem alten Messegelände erkennt man gut an seinem spitzen Dach mit dem (roten) Stern an der Spitze.

EN: An urban skyline with a view to the east. Clouds and light fog correspond with the dark buildings. An industrial chimney rises centrally from an old roundhouse. The Russian Pavilion on the old exhibition grounds is easily recognisable by its pointed roof with the (red) star at the top.

#GMA DA/SX-024 Katzsteinfels (meaning “cat stone rock”) can be combined with #POTA DE-0875 #Forststeig (one of the nicest trails in #Saxony) to get some more chasers. You can go there easily by #Deutschlandticket and leave your car at home or at the hotel. Since #hamradio wasn’t this hike’s premier task I made just 15 QSOs on #20m in #morsecode and in #fm on #vhf and up. #ParksOnTheAir #Amateurfunk #qrp #qcxmini #hiking #mountains

There, it is blocked by the few scattering of trees that are growing next to the path from about halfway up. Closer to the observer the path is flanked by fallen leaves on either side, with some tree roots peaking through, and a large rock sitting next to the path on the right, close to the bottom of the frame. Green shrubs and trees fill the top of the picture, beyond the stairway path.
For my wifes birthday on Wednesday we went for a stroll in Saxony Switzerland. We had lunch at a nice restaurant while it absolutely pissed down raining. Fortunately, the weather cleared up enough for us to enjoy a nice walk after we finished our lunch.
