Scenario: Trump, his cronies, & ICE all suddenly succeeded in their goal of expelling the immigrants from this country or detaining them all (whoever they seem to classify as immigrants: legal, illegal, or "looks like one so let's detain them").
If they succeeded in this goal, announced that the problem has been resolved to the country... what next? When the problems that had been blamed on immigrants for years aren't suddenly resolved, too... what or who will they blame the problems on next?
I'm wondering what you folks here think is likely to be the next scapegoat and what that would look like. Though most power-hungry, one-track-minded political groups start eating themselves at some point, I fear they still have a lot of stubborn supporters to carry out their whims & it'll be a while before the biting their own tails starts.
