I’m usually not vocal on my own pride, as being from FL, it is easy to want to hide. Gender identity can be a personal topic, and as a gender queer person, it’s a nuanced discussion and frankly I’m comfortable to go through life without identifying publicly. Not everyone has that choice or level of safety. Coming out also brings people a lot of hope. During this pride month, people should take the chance to learn more about the lgbtqia experience and find understanding.
