Eine luxuriöse Yacht liegt in der Nähe einer Werft mit großen Kränen vor Anker, auf denen der Name des Unternehmens Lürssen prangt. Die Szene wird teilweise von spiegelnden Flächen eingerahmt, die das umliegende Grün, den Himmel und den Fotografen einfangen.

This is a black and white nautical / cityscape photo in landscape format. Between the right margin and the centre of the frame is the stern of a cargo ship. To the left of the ship is a tug attached to the ship with two stout lines. The ship is being towed backwards along a city river from right to left. Our ship fills nearly the entire right side of the image. The very weathered and battered hull is black while the superstructure over the stern is white. The tug is approaching a raised bascule bridge. Surrounding the bridge are a number of very high-rise modern apartment buildings whose top floors are out of view.
The Location: The Miami River In downtown Miami. The Raised Bridge is the Brickell Ave Bridge (2012).

The sky is filled with light layers of cloud that look like they're not far off burning away under the sun behind them. We're on the cabin balcony of a cruise ship looking outwards and slightly forward along a long, straight channel cut through the landscape. A mound of land on the right has short grass on it and has been cut down into a ziggurat form with stepped levels for some reason, and beyond that land we can see a parallel canal channel stretching alongside this one. The distant landscape is hilly and mountainous, covered in greenery though with the pale, hazy light it's all a little desaturated like a faded silhouette of a rip on the horizon against the sky. In the canal just off this starboard side of the ship there is a tug boat turning sideways. It's a squat vessel with a low, rounded, padded hull and a small bridge in the middle. A puff of dirty black smoke is emerging from the exhausts to the boat's bridge's rear.

Im Wasser eines Flusses liegt in Ufernähe ein schon fast zerfallenes Holzboot auf Grund. Das Innere des Bootes ist zum großen Teil mit Wasserhyazinthen und Gräsern gefüllt.

The #marina in #Varazze for #ShipSaturday. This town always ends up on our route whenever we go to Italy or France (or back home). By the third time, it had become sort of a running gag with some sprinkles of nostalgia.

This Is A Colour Seascape Photo of a tropical sunrise and a long row of anchored merchant ship In Landscape Format. The Entire Image Is Tinted With A Golden Glow From A Just Risen Tropical Sun (Only A Few Degrees Above The Horizon). A Calm Sea Covers The Lower Three-Quarters Of The Frame With A Crisp Horizon Dividing The Ocean From The Sky. The Water Has Numerous Ripples Disturbing The Surface But Is Essentially Calm. Stretching Across The Horizon Is An Anchorage With A Great Many (Twenty-One In View) Cargo Ships At Anchor. The More Distant Vessels Are At Right Angles To The Camera Though The Two Closest, Above And To The Left Of Centre, Are A Medium Sized Container Ship And Car Carrier Are Nearly Parallel To The Lens. Just Above These Two Ships Is The Golden Rising Sun That Has Cast A Glow Across A Thin Band Of High Level Cirrus Clouds.

For #SchiffsSamstag here's HMS Prince of Wales, the fleet flagship of the Royal Navy, at her home port (and ours) of Portsmouth. This was taken as we cruised out aboard Scarlet Lady in 2021 and it was a great experience to see all the naval and historic vessels from this perspective.
