I'm done with the first 4 tales. The first two were incredible. 3 and 4 were meh. Yet to see if it gets better from here on.
The world-buildng is incredible. Dan Simmons throws around a lot of made up terms which appear once and never again. He doesn't even try to explain them, which I find quite annoying. Nevertheless, a great book.

I've read several of the author's books, but this one really takes things to a whole new level.
The story itself mixes political intrigue with military operations in space, along with an investigation into a missing spaceship and weaves all of those threads in a thoroughly enticing and enjoyable story.

Working on concept art for Operation Starward. I’m about halfway through the 2nd draft. Never thought I could write a tear jerker, but this may be it. My goal is to not just write queer fiction, but to hopefully put a fresh spin on some old ideas.
