Signals - A Space Adventure

Original 1971 Czech A3 Movie Poster

The image is a stylized poster predominantly in shades of orange and black. In the upper section, there is an astronaut figure in a silver suit, positioned as if walking. The astronaut is overlaid on a series of concentric black circles that radiate outward from the center, creating a target-like effect against the vivid orange background. The lower portion of the poster features bold typography. The word "IKAROS" is prominently displayed in large, three-dimensional block letters, with a shadow effect accentuating the text. Above this, in smaller font, there is additional text providing context about the film and its director, framed in a rectangular layout.

Full-shot of a book cover. The title, "THE SOLARIANS," is prominently displayed in large, bold, yellow letters. Beneath the title, smaller text reads "Could Palmer trust the Solarians' plan of surrendering Earth to its enemy?" The author's name, "NORMAN SPINRAD," is in a different font below.

The background of the cover is a teal-blue color, and the art is a vintage science fiction style.  Two large, darkly-colored alien figures, resembling bipedal creatures, are prominent in the image. They are positioned in stances suggesting readiness for action (or perhaps guarding/surveillance); one is holding a long gun/rifle. They have distinctive features: large, forward-facing eyes (reddish in color) and pointed, bat-like ears.

The artwork also includes other smaller alien figures and a spacecraft or vehicle in the background.  A trail of light or fire from the ship appears to emanate from it in one direction.  The overall tone and style of the artwork are reminiscent of the science fiction illustrations common in the mid-20th century. The art style and color palette suggest a paperback book in the "Paperback Library Original Science Fiction" series or a similar, vintage science fiction series, judging by the small text above the title.
