A moment of teaching insanity today - which I did contribute to, fair enough. A Yr11 guessed exactly the poem and question on their Lit Paper 1 - so I bought them a bag of onions as a prize ("I give you an onion" Valentine, Carol Ann Duffy). Another student then proceeded to eat a raw onion, just because. It was a spicy one. Tears and retching ensued. Last night I went to an information night for #SecondarySchool (my 12 yo is starting there in August) and I feel so happy with the school we chose. So many secondary schools in Ireland are overwhelmingly enormous. This school is tiny (50 kids in her whole year) and has organised supervised activities every lunch time to help them socialise e.g. #DungeonsAndDragons, #Crafting, #Singing. As per my daughter: "It is heaven for neurodivergent kids".

Feel so unbelievably lucky we found this school.
