After yesterday's cold, wet slog, the warmth and sun today were glorious. Double long run weekend. Yesterday, met a new beaver! Today, all the coltsfoot were welcoming the sun. Beautiful running.

Made a new friend on my run. Perhaps a hairy woodpecker. Red patch on the back of their neck was very faint. The trails are still muddy in spots, but a lot drier than I expected. Pathways are mostly clear. Beautiful running weather. Double long run weekend. After yesterday's wet slog, this was glorious. One more week of base and then a ten week build! I'm feeling cautiously optimistic! Looking forward to the grind!

The snowbanks across the sidewalks at each intersection were cleared yesterday! The sidewalks and pathways are snow covered enough that it's almost like running on sand. Still digging out from the 70+cm we got in four days. Slowly, slowly like my pace!

Snowshoe running is back! Last winter we had unseasonably warm weather and I didn't get out on snowshoes once! We have rain in the forecast so got out while the powder was fresh. Beautiful evening for a run! The trails are gorgeous!
