In 1957 #JohnKitzmiller became the first #BlackActor to win a best actor award at the #CannesFilmFestival for his role in the Yugoslavian (Slovenian) film Valley of Peace. But he is perhaps best known for his role as Quarrel in the 1962 James Bond film Dr. No.
He passed away in 1965
