After two weeks, the request to add a new member to a mailinglist was rejected because.... It's was a form for a mailbox, not for a mailinglist.

All information was there, all approvals were there, just two weeks wasted.

Any helpdesk system which isn't able to convert one request-type to another request-type (i.e modify a mailbox to modify a mailinglist) should be burn in hell.

Hey everyone I'm helping my team find a new #knowledgeManagement platform as part of a big project next year and I need some suggestions!

This will be a internal (non end user facing) #technicalwriting platform for a team of #systemsengineer & #networkengineer ( #systemsadministrator #networkadministrator) We have #ServiceNow knowledge right now but the features are very lacking.

I've pitched wiki.js as a open source, self hosted platform. One of our infrastructure architects is co-testing Microsoft Loop with me right now.

Basic wants/things our current solution is lacking:
Better searching
Page/category heirarchy
Tags/labels (searchable)

Nice to have:
Review due dates
Embedding documents (mostly PDFs)

A bit of a rant. But disclosure: I am not 'professionally' trained in yet. I'm going for Sec+, but I do have product specific infosec training (SecOps modules of ).

But. For me infosec is equal parts discipline, paranoia, and imagination. Like a neapolitan ice cream. But it's sad that that last one is largely overlook.

The 'what if'. What if someone gets phished? What if someone achieves hacking the supply chain? What if the vendor screws up on an update, and so on.
